These terms govern your use of Unwarp, a voice-first note-taking service operated by Pentaeon (Paris, France). By signing in to Unwarp you agree to them. Questions: support@pentaeon.dev.
The service
Unwarp lets you record voice notes, transcribe them automatically, and search the resulting text. The hosted service at unwarp.app is available on a paid subscription — £10/month for a personal account, or £8/seat/month for team accounts, with a 14-day free trial when you first sign up. The service is provided on a best-effort basis (see Availability below).
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you think the account has been accessed without permission, email us immediately at support@pentaeon.dev.
You can delete your account at any time from the You page; the deletion removes every note, recording, transcript, and derived item tied to your user id.
Your content
You own everything you put into Unwarp. We don’t claim any ownership over your recordings or notes; we only process them on your behalf as described in our privacy policy.
You grant us the limited technical right to store, transmit, and process your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you — including sending it to the AI providers listed in the privacy policy when you trigger a feature that needs them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Unwarp to:
- Capture audio of other people without their consent where the law requires it (most of Europe);
- Process content that is illegal under the laws of France or the country you’re using Unwarp from;
- Probe, scan, or test the service’s infrastructure;
- Resell access to the hosted service without our prior written agreement.
AI output
Unwarp uses large language models to polish, summarise, and extract structure from your recordings. Model output can be wrong, fabricated, or out of date. Treat AI-generated content as a draft, never as a source of truth for decisions you can’t reverse.
Availability
We do not guarantee uptime, response time, or that any specific feature will keep working. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the hosted service at any time. Where we end the service entirely we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pentaeon is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of Unwarp. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Unwarp and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute that can’t be resolved by talking to us first falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris.
Changes
We may update these terms; the Last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use Unwarp after an update means you accept the new terms.
